The chosen typology is an atrium building. Access is through an accentuated portal that leads visitors into the inner courtyard, treated as a therapeutic garden. The favorable impression is prolonged inside, where the chosen color scheme promotes contrasting pastels that suggest freshness. The corridor leading to the cubicles and treatment rooms is luminous, bordered by the glazed walls of the atrium, and the ends of perspective are always controlled and valorized through spatial conformity, finishes, light and exhibits.
The medical center has an introverted feel, banking on the surprise of discovering the therapeutic garden in the atrium. It also serves as a waiting room in nice weather. The sliding glass walls of the corridors create a spatial continuum unifying the waiting room and the courtyard. The therapeutic ambience, positive tone, biophilic design work together for a distinct expression of patient-centered design.
Project that appeared in the book ,,Architecture of health centers in rural areas. Good practice guide'' (2024), chapter ,,Theme illustrations: 4 projects''.
